JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a social worker in the child and family unit, you are the responsible caseworker for a number of investigations and follow-ups of ongoing outpatient interventions and placements. You work with authority and handle cases according to both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Special Provisions for the Care of Young People (LVU) based on the Convention on the Rights of the Child. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the child/youth and their biological family, network, and foster homes/HVB in cases where the child/youth is placed outside their own home.

The goal is for children in difficult situations to receive the support they need to continue living their lives together with their families. In this role, you also collaborate closely with other groups within the unit, as well as with other key actors around the child.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work or another education that meets the legal requirements for case management in child and youth care. Previous experience in authority exercise within municipal social services is an advantage. Since travel is required in the job, a valid driver's license (B) is a requirement.

You focus on the right things and prioritize your work effectively by planning and organizing your tasks. You set and follow deadlines as well as quickly adapt your approach when circumstances change. You adjust according to the situation and see opportunities in change.
